A British woman with COVID-19, currently in an intensive care unit in West Londono described the deadly virus as “glass in the lungs.”
Tara Jane Langston, a 39-year-old waitress, is pleading with others not to take any risks during the pandemic.
Langston went in to be tested and was initially diagnosed with a breast infection but her condition worsened. She then was transferred to Hillingdon Hospital in West London, where she has been ever since about a week.

Tara Jane shared a video in which she shared her experience and made people aware of the virus. The video went viral as she is shown in her hospital bed, which is connected to various breathing tubes.

Langston said, “It’s absolutely horrible and I wouldn’t want to go through anything like this ever again. I’d been ill for about five days before I was taken to hospital in an ambulance.”
‘I’d originally been diagnosed with a chest infection and given antibiotics and advised to take ibuprofen and paracetamol. I was talking about eight ibuprofen a day and they now think that that exacerbated the problem.
‘When I was taken into intensive care they originally planned to sedate me and keep me in intubation because my body had gone through it all for the best part of a week and I was shattered.
‘Fortunately, I was kept awake but needed six liters of oxygen. Now that I’m improving I’m on one liter.’

Langston, who is in good shape and is what you consider a gym rat, said she shot the video to emphasize that not only the elderly or people with underlying medical conditions can suffer from the widespread infection.
