About a week ago, I asked why the celebrities weren’t doing a charity concert for the Wuhan
Coronavirus pandemic.

Well, they finally got around to it Sunday night with the iHeart Living Room Concert for America on
Fox, raising money for Feeding America and the First Responders Children Foundation. We still didn’t
get a coronavirus song to rally around but at least they thought of someone other than themselves for
a change and raised some money.

However, a lot of them really don’t have a clue about what regular Americans are going through. If
they did, I don’t think they’d be so incredibly offensive, singing in front of their swimming pools, pinball
machines, fireplaces, large gated backyards, and chandeliers while they tried to pretend they are
sacrificing like the rest of us.

I heard Elton complaining that he didn’t have a piano in the house he was in. Poor guy. He picked the
wrong house to stay in while social distancing. I have the same problem. I chose my house with the
Ferrari and the hot tub instead of the one with the cool game room and bowling alley. Darn it.

People who were watching the concert have lost their jobs, are worried about losing their jobs and
don’t know what their future holds in the next month and beyond. I doubt anyone actually believes
that they’re “in this together” with celebrities who have an income for YEARS if needed, plenty of
space and entertainment in their homes, beautiful yards and scenery, huge playrooms for their kids
and many are probably still having their staff bring food to them and are cooking it for them.

No, I don’t think we are in this together with Elton John and The Backstreet Boys. The rest of us are
deciding if we pay the mortgage or the car payment this week and trying to figure out how to buy
groceries without getting infected.

I think maybe if the celebrities do another concert in the future, they should consider humbling
themselves and finding a place in their house that doesn’t have toys and trinkets that cost more than
most of us make in six months.

And then, of course, we can always count on the celebrities on Twitter to say something totally helpful
in a crisis like this. They’re not selfish at all. They understand the effects on the pandemic on the
country and what people are going through.

Kim Kardashia’s recently tweeted, “My hair is gonna be so healthy after this quarantined time.
Contemplating dying it blonde when we can have human interaction again.”
