Armed Intruders Break Into Home During Pandemic – Teenager Grabs Gun, Killing One and Wounding Another

This is the type of stuff that happens when the media works the public into a frenzy over something like coronavirus.

Granted, this break-in could’ve happened at any point in time, but this manic energy surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic really isn’t helping matters.

Seriously, there’s actually been a jump in coronavirus related crimes:

As the coronavirus pandemic spreads, so too do the crimes related to it — transgressions that capitalize on fear, panic and the urge to lay blame, and add to the burden on law enforcement agencies trying to protect vulnerable citizens.

“It is really disheartening in a time like this that someone would take advantage of the community and take them in a time of need,” Tucson, Arizona, Police Sgt. Pete Dugan said.

Everyday life has essentially stopped in many countries in a bid to slow the virus, and some crimes have been declining. But reports of virus-related fraud are on the rise, along with concerns about hate crimes. [Time [1]]

Now, we don’t know just yet if this crime was due to the insanity surrounding coronavirus, but it’s a crazy story nonetheless that happened during this tumultuous time.

According to reports, three armed intruders who broke into a Georgia home where they were met with a teenage boy who fatally shot one and wounded another.

A 17-year-old shot and killed at least one of three armed intruders who broke into his Georgia home, according to police.

Three armed intruders broke into the Cobb County home late Sunday night in what appeared to be an attempted burglary.

An unnamed teenager living in the home shot and killed one of the suspects, Machavellia Bagsby, 21. Another suspect, Taruss Miller, 21, was shot in the leg. Authorities later apprehended a third suspect, a 16-year-old.

Miller was caught on a home security camera begging for help after being shot. He and the unidentified 16-year-old were charged with murder, aggravated assault, attempted armed robbery, burglary, and possession of a firearm.

Police are still investigating the situation and do not plan to charge the 17-year-old with any crimes. [Washington Examiner [3]]

Good thing that this young man was quick to protect his home, but now he’s going to have to live with that trauma for the rest of his life.

This is why the media needs to cool it on their divisive narrative, or more stories like this will follow.
