With government investigators and independent journalists finding so much federal agency corruption over the past three to four years (and which appears to have been occurring over the last 12 years), it got me thinking about how most law enforcement officers serve and protect regardless of the political affiliation of the person they’re protecting. And that got me thinking about federal agencies that appear to have avoided or rejected the political sleaze.

For example, can you imagine if the U. S. Secret Service leadership operated under a political bias like the leadership of the FBI under James Comey, the CIA under John Brennan, the DOJ under Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, or Sally Yates, the IRS under Lois Lerner, or National Intelligence under Director James Clapper? What if the director of the Secret Service worked to undermine (overthrow) a president as it appears those officials did?

There is increasing evidence that shows these senior government officials worked to sabotage a political opponent’s candidacy and then his presidential administration. What peril would our president be in if “deep state” or “resistance” operatives infiltrated the ranks of a Secret Service presidential protection detail? Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and NYPD officer, frequently discusses this agency integrity on his podcast.

As a police officer, I had the pleasure of working with Secret Service agents on counterfeit currency cases and when assisting with presidential protection assignments. Their professionalism was always apparent. And I’ve always admired the agency’s superiors and agents placing their duty over politics or any other personal feelings about the specific individual they are protecting. This is true with rank and file cops, federal and local, of all types.

For instance, I was once assigned to a protection detail as a bike officer for Governor Christine Gregoire (D-WA). It made matters worse that there were serious suspicious circumstances under which she “won” the election after losing in the first two ballot counts. But she won the third count with the help of some “embarrassing mistakes” made by the heavily Democrat King County.

Still, would I request to decline or outright refuse the assignment because I don’t agree with her politics or even believe she stole the election? I couldn’t conceive of doing that. Hell, even pulling a political opponent’s campaign sign out of a yard is abhorrent to me.

How many Trump-deranged, conservative- and Republican-hating leftists would justify not protecting the new “Hitler,” the “dictator,” or whatever other toxic epithets they choose to wrongly label President Trump? Some people have been working diligently to create a myth that makes the president appear so evil, as if he doesn’t deserve the protections other presidents have enjoyed.

A few moments ago, I checked my Facebook account. An old acquaintance I respect actually had on her page an image of President Trump with a Hitler mustache, painted in the style of those red and blue, “Hope & Change” Obama portraits. This PhD (no, really) is admonishing friends to unify against hate and fascism. I shake my head and wonder, What the hell are these people talking about? What an immense insult to anyone who’s suffered under a true tyrant. How self-deluded by hate can people be?

Anyway, of the “leaders” I mentioned above, look at how the mainstream media treats many of those suspected of perpetrating a “soft coup.” They actually give them jobs. It’s not that they don’t believe those government leaders did anything wrong. That’s obvious. It’s that media conglomerates reward government officials’ suspected bad behavior when it’s perpetrated against this particular president. From the way they speak about the president, I wonder how many leftist lunatics, if in the position of a Secret Service agent, would consider it a “patriotic duty” not to protect him.

Secret Service agents aren’t perfect, as several lapses and scandals that occurred during the Obama administration show. But, the reported misdeeds don’t appear to have been political. Secret Service agents protect whoever occupies the Office of the President of the United States—period!

Even if, in Bizarro World, crazy communist Senator Bernie Sanders were elected (I just slammed my fingers in my computer lid for even typing that), Secret Service agents would still take a bullet for him because they’re patriotic Americans who know how important it is to protect the integrity of the Secret Service, the presidency, and by extension the U.S. Constitution.

It doesn’t matter who occupies the Oval Office. This government agency must maintain the integrity to eschew becoming a part of a radical “resistance” organized against a made-up tyranny that exists only in the Left’s collective mind, when what really pisses them off is losing an election. Democrats are no longer allowed to lose or they will make America pay for it.

Perhaps, the other federal agencies’ leadership (and their Deep State sycophants) can be shamed by the Secret Service agents’ (and all rank and file law enforcement officers’) integrity and sense of duty. It doesn’t matter what agency you work for—the FBI, CIA, IRS, NSA, or any other law enforcement or Intel agency. In America, allowing politics to poison your decisions and actions, which negatively affect innocent citizens of an opposing political party, should be seen by all as an abomination.
