Rep. Ilhan Omar shared an article that called for the military’s G.I. Bill (legislation that pays for American service members/veterans higher education) be made available for all U.S. citizens.
How stupid can one person be? Well, never mind. All you have to do is look at the list of Democrats running for President. One thing that needs to happen is college should only be a 2-3 year investment. Do away with all the non-essential core and elective courses. If you want to go on a G.I. bill, create some 2-year military obligations.
If you go in for two years, the government, for each dollar saved would match say maybe 4-5 times what was saved. The cost of some books is ridiculous. Find a way for the books to be paid directly by the government at a reduced cost, much like insurance companies have set reduced payments to doctors and hospitals.

There are many ways to skin a cat if you want it done. Ilhan needs to use her brain and resources to make a valid proposal.
As a proud veteran, I recommend that she be placed in full combat gear and be parachuted near the front lines in a combat zone. Then if she lives through that experience, she might have some credibility when talking about veteran issues. Oh, wait, she would have to proclaim her love for the Taliban, and then they might take her in.
We owe our warriors more than we can ever pay for our safety and security. They get the G.I. bill because they deserve it. It’s not a damned participation trophy. As it is, we don’t treat our warriors nearly as well as we should.
Homeless veterans should get housing and assistance to the last man before we accept one more immigrant. Want socialism? Go to Venezuela. I hear they are hiring politicians down there.
Just curious, but do liberal arts degrees require math classes? Also, do they even need attending class? Do the universities give out the degree for doing nothing? Same with the G.I. bill. A veteran gets something to do something. Fairtrade.

The GI Bill does not provide free education to our military. They have paid a much higher price than anyone else and deserve nothing less than everything that we can do for them.
We currently have “public” education from kindergarten through high school, and has it done any good? The better students are being held back, the slower students are causing trouble, and it is indoctrination to liberal thinking.
Of course, college is also an introduction to liberalism, but then reality hits upon graduation, and the light comes on that they were ripped off. Anything given for free is taken for granted, and the giver in control. Not a good idea. Thanks to all those that served in the military. You deserve the GI Bill.
Additionally, I think all politicians should have been required to serve in the military for at least the original six-year enlistment before being allowed to run for public office That way they could speak more intelligently about these kinds of issues instead of taking every opportunity to belittle the sacrifices our military men and women make daily. I suspect most would not even be able to make it through basic training.
