Well, so much for former President Woodrow Wilson…He had a good run as the name behind a Richmond, California elementary school, but now he’s getting the boot.
The West Contra Costa Unified School District’s Board of Education will now be renaming Wilson Elementary to “Michelle Obama elementary.”
Yes, name a school after the woman who destroyed school lunches. That sounds like a great idea.

According to school officials, the name change is happening because students will are better able to relate to Michelle Obama than Woodrow Wilson.
Yes, they related to her most at lunchtime, when they were eating gruel and starving to death.
Most students were either invitro or newborns when the Obama’s were in office, so not sure how much “more” they would relate to them.
“The parents and students advocated to rename their school after Michelle Obama because they believe the values our former first lady embodies and the educational, child-centered causes she champions, are representative of what we all aspire to nurture in our school communities,” Hernandez-Jarvis continued. “She is a role model for our children and we strive to serve our students with the same kind of love, advocacy, and courage that she served our country.”
The school board considered the proposal after receiving a letter from the Wilson Elementary School PTA asking that the school be renamed in honor of the former first lady. An ad hoc committee held two public meetings to gather input from parents, students and community stakeholders and unanimously voted to recommend the name change at a meeting on Jan. 23, according to the release.
“We wanted to choose someone on a global level,” Wilson PTA President Maisha Cole said. “With a new school and new learning environment, we want our children to think beyond Richmond, to think beyond California, and remind them that they can make a difference locally and globally.” [East Bay Times [2]]
That school sounds like yet another liberal cesspool that will promote the same progressive “California values” that have destroyed so many once-thriving cities.
Sadly, our education system in this country has been commandeered by left-wing whackos. Remember when it was only “highed education” that was a wasteland? Well, now it’s all education.
But that’s very typical of liberals. They love going after kids and indoctrinating them. Just look at what they’re doing with Drag Queen Story Hour.
