Opinion: Sanders Didn’t Win The NH Primary, He Survived; Capturing Only 26% Of The Vote

By Wayne Dupree | February 12, 2020

The result in New Hampshire is a disaster for the Democrats.

(1) The front runner who has a TOTALLY DIFFERENT agenda from the second runner up won the primary by less than 2%. Sanders needed an overwhelming victory and he didn’t get it. (2) Klobuchar’s third-place finish is not a fluke. She’s the ONLY choice beside a socialist and a gay man for some Democrats. (3)We still don’t know what Hillary is gonna say tomorrow morning when she gets out of bed at around 11:30 AM Eastern time.

These are things that will spell trouble for the Democrats. They can pledge to support the eventual nominee but the first primary, where people can vote in secret (as opposed to the caucus) tells a story of a very fractured Democratic Party.

What has the DNC got to say about a candidate that is not even an official member of the Democrat party and just happens to be a fun-loving socialist winning a Democrat primary?

He’s the senator in a neighboring state, a state that largely thinks the same way, but he only captured 26% of the vote. He didn’t win, he survived.

Elizabeth Warren, the senator from another neighboring state that largely think the same as New Hampshire and Vermont, didn’t even survive. She got obliterated.

This is 40 years of work in the Senate. And you want to make him president. Trump has outperformed him in three years.

Hard to believe these many Americans think socialism is the way to go – especially in a strong economy. I fear what might happen the next time we have another economic downturn – especially if it coincides with a presidential election.

The conclusion? President Trump will be re-elected in November. Democrats might as well get used to it by now so that they won’t be too heartbroken like last time.
