All incorrigible liars will sooner or later develop a credibility crisis. It’s no one’s fault but the liar. The Left Wing fanatics at CNN are a grand example.
I was in Atlanta some years ago and visited CNN Headquarters.
If you go inside, the main floor is a lot of food stands, a large open area, and a souvenir shop. CNN offices are upstairs and generally off-limits to the public. I used to go over to CNN for lunch with girlfriends and co-workers. They used to do a live talk show on the main floor occasionally with an ad-hoc audience you could go to and sit in for free. That disappeared a long time ago.

I spoke of the past when Ted Turner-owned CNN and was based in Atlanta. It was a lot different then than it is now, as it is based primarily out of New York City. The only thing left of CNN in Atlanta is the letters on the outside of the building.
Ted Turner is a bit off (well actually a lot of a flake), and these days is mostly a retired Billionaire who is a land baron out west and operates a chain of restraints (Ted’s Montana Grill). However, a few years ago, I saw him getting out of a stretch limo with a lot of bodyguards downtown going into a building.
CNN under Turner was what began the Cable News industry; Fox, MSNBC, CNBC, and the rest of them wouldn’t be around today if Ted hasn’t married cable television and satellite distribution for his WTBS (gone now also) Superstation; CNN and CNN2 were another broadcasting breakthrough. And many people remember the first Gulf War and the “Boys from Baghdad.” and John Holloman’s tragic traffic death a few years later.
Today it’s all out of New York, along with the other broadcast news organizations, as well as the New York Times. With that move, it’s an ideological base that started it is now long gone and replaced by the same leftist base that runs New York City.
This is why it’s popularity has dropped precipitously. The only time I see CNN is Trump-hate segments on YouTube or when I’m captive to it in an airport, and it’s shockingly pitiful as a news organization. It still does good features, but as an information source, it’s long dead.

CNN is correctly performing its function of protecting Democrats and attacking conservatives. The truth has nothing to do with those tasks.
What’s the alternative? Do investigative journalism, inform the public of events, tell the truth about their cities, country or the world, drag from the depths of the swamp the creatures taxpayers, are forced to pay and show deference, expose the magnitude of corruption, criminality, and deviancy throughout the governing bodies and society as a whole. Why?
Those who pay attention want to burn the whole thing down and start again.
It’s better to keep them entertained, distracted, divided, and unaware, preferably drugged, medicated, and sated, especially if furnishing those three things provides billions to offset the losses resulting from a few people straying off your pixel reservation.
