Obama Celebrates #PresidentsDay By Taking Credit For Trump’s Economy…And it Quickly Backfires

Barack Obama is a man struggling to find a legacy.

His signature Obamacare plan was a disaster. That Iranian deal was a nightmare. His economy was a dud.

So, what’s a failed former president to do?

Well, he can always take credit for the hard work of his successor.

And that’s precisely what Obama is doing on this #PresidentsDay.

Obama took credit for Trump’s soaring economy in a pathetic tweet he sent out to celebrate President’s Day.

His tweet read: “Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.”

It didn’t take long for internet hell-fire to reign down on the former president:

Obama, the man who said President Trump would need a “magic wand” to bring back manufacturing jobs, was in way over his head when it came to the economy and foreign policy.

People may have liked him as a person, but in terms of his leadership and how he ran the country, no. They didn’t. Because if they did Hillary Clinton, who ran on “Obama’s Third Term” would be president right now.
