Meghan McCain let loose on audience members of the ABC talk show “The View” on Thursday morning after she heard them clapping over the idea of President Donald Trump setting up his Vice President to be the “fall guy” by putting him in charge of handling the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think Trump needed someone in that position just in case things go badly,” co-host Sunny Hostin said, with Joy Behar adding that she was describing a “fall guy.”

It was then that some members of the audience started to clap at what Hostin had said, but McCain was not having any of it.

“I don’t know why anyone would clap about that because if crap goes wrong, it’s going to be bad for all of us — so clapping, because this is bad … I do not like the politicizing of this,” she said, pointing to where the clapping had originated.

It’s really no surprise that some liberal members of the audience were gleeful at the idea at the coronavirus spreading just because it would potentially make Trump look bad. From the beginning of his presidency, liberals have made it clear that they would rather see our country fail than see Trump succeed. Now, it appears that they would rather see people die and a massive outbreak ensue than see Trump successfully quell the coronavirus.

As the sole conservative voice on a liberal television show, McCain frequently has to go toe-to-toe with an audience that she recently described as “extremely combative.” She told “Watch What Happens Live!” host Andy Cohen that the constant “booing and the heckling” from the audience takes a toll on her.

“I’m paid to give a different view and so I would like us all – when people come – to roll it back because again, I’m trying to do a very complicated job,” she said.

McCain’s job is a difficult one, as it can’t be easy to walk into work every day knowing that a mob of liberals is going to heckle you nonstop. That being said, it’s crucial that she continues to stand strong and shut down her audience when they step out of line, just as she did today.
