If you think that President Trump can sometimes go a little far in some of his statements, the man is the soul of discretion compared to his geopolitical ally and rhetorical overachiever Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

We have regularly reported on Bolsonaro because, well, he’s hilarious.

He, like Trump, realizes that no matter what he says the left will hate his guts. So he has decided, even more so than Trump, to give it back to them worse than he gets it. And he does not ever look back or apologize when the manure hits the fan.

The results are usually amusing, as are the Brazilian left’s fits of screaming indignation at what he says. Though, they are smart enough to understand you can’t impeach him for it. Some American Democrats like Maxine Waters are not that level-headed and have proposed Trump be impeached for bad language. One wishes our Democrats had to deal with Bolsonaro for one day, just one day. Imagine what Jair would say. It boggles pre-description.

The reaction was not long in coming.

“It’s becoming clearer every day that the president needs urgent therapeutic care. His misogynous behavior belittles the office of the president,” said Paulo Jeronimo de Sousa, chief of the Brazilian Press Association.

The stately and solemn Brazilian presidential retort to the media in general?

AFP, “…When a journalist asked him (Bolsonaro) about corruption accusations against his eldest son, Flavio, the president responded: ‘You look like a huge homosexual.’ “
