The impeachment trial is shaping up to be Democrats’ biggest debacle since the 2016 election, but they’re still holding onto hope that “incriminating” evidence from John Bolton’s recent book can still bring down Trump.
Their enthusiasm is laughable and many are comparing their 11th hour Bolton evidence to the last-minute testimony from Christine Blasey Ford in the Kavanaugh hearing.

Bolton’s words against Trump are yet another “nothing-burger,” and Tucker Carlson illustrated beautifully in this segment just how meaningless this testimony truly is.

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz is echoing the same opinion as Carlson, and he just shredded Democrats’ hopes of using the Bolton book against Trump during the impeachment trial.
“Let me repeat: nothing in the Bolton revelations, even if true, would rise to the level of an abuse of power or an impeachable offense,” Dershowitz continued. “That is clear from the history, that is clear from the language of the Constitution, you cannot turn conduct that is not impeachable into impeachable conduct simply by using words like ‘quid pro quo’ and ‘personal benefit.’”
“It is inconceivable that the framers would have intended so politically loaded and promiscuously deployed a term as ‘abuse of power’ to be weaponized as a tool of impeachment it is precisely the kind of vague open-ended and subjective term that the framers feared and rejected,” Dershowitz added. Much like everything else in this hearing, the Bolton book bruhaha will amount to nothing and go completely unnoticed by the American people.
Another big loss for Democrats.
