You know in the movie “The Wizard of Oz” when Dorthy realizes she’s not in Kansas anymore?
Well, the same thing is happening to Dems right now. “You’re not in the House anymore” is an appropriate phrase for Dems who just were dealt an embarrassing 11-straight loss by the GOP Senate.
Ouch!

The Senate passed Mitch McConnell’s impeachment trial rules along party lines early Wednesday — ending a 13-hour day of debate on the Senate floor capped off with an admonishment from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to both the president’s defense team and Democratic House managers.
Ten of 11 amendments introduced by Democrats were shot down by Republicans in a party-line vote. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) was the only lawmaker to break with her party during one of the amendment votes. [New York Post] [2]
The debate went into the wee hours of the morning.
I can’t imagine that Dems are ingratiating themselves with Republicans by forcing them to sit there all night and part of the morning only to watch them lose vote after vote after vote.
It’s just more of their grandstanding and political fodder.
The Schiff Show is determined to bring the same “circus-like” atmosphere from The House to the Senate, but that’s not going to be allowed.
As a matter of fact, Senate Majority Leader McConnell addressed that very fact and made it abundantly clear that the Senate would run smooth and fair – a far cry from how the House was run during their phase of the impeachment sham.

Mitch McConnell is running a tight, professional, and Constitutional ship. It’ll be amusing to watch the unprofessional anti-American Dems try and maneuver through this maze of constitutionality. Something they’re certainly not used to.
I have no doubt Dems will try and pull many sneaky moves and play lots of games. But they’re not in the House anymore, so they’ll have a hard time getting away with slick political moves under Cocaine Mitch’s watch.
