The Daily Mail has confirmed that Kobe Bryant and daughter, Gianna, died in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning in Calabasas, CA.
Sources: Kobe Bryant was on his way to a travel basketball game with his daughter Gianna when the helicopter crashed. Those aboard the helicopter also included another player and parent.

TMZ initially reported the incident but after confirmations have taken place, the worst imaginable situation has been revealed.
I’m in shock right now. Lebron just passed his scoring record last night and took the time to thank Kobe. Now this. This gives me chills man. I’m heartbroken for his family. May God look down on his wife and children.
Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday morning.
The 41-year-old former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star’s death was first confirmed by TMZ.
The outlet reported that Bryant was traveling with four other people – including daughter ‘Gi-Gi’ – in his private helicopter when it crashed, killing everyone on board.
Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of the crash near Las Virgenes Rd and Willow Glen St in Calabasas at around 10am after a fire broke out.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Witnesses reported hearing the helicopter’s engine sputtering before it went down.
Sources told TMZ the chopper was on its way to the Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks for basketball practice when the crash occurred, near the home of Kourtney Kardashian. [Daily Mail]
I’m sure his wife is inconsolable right now. Lord please watch over Vanessa and help her deal with the initial shock and grief over the loss of her husband and love. Please take care of Kobe’s daughters. Catch their sweet tears and comfort their spirit to know that their Dad’s spirit will always be with them.
