On Thursday, Justyn Pennell, 21 was arrested after he called 911 and admitted to intentionally hitting and killing an elderly man.

According to reports, Pennell said he drove past the man who was walking alongside the highway, made a U-turn and used his car as a weapon to run him over.

Pennell said he had been running errands when he thought about committing murder.

Sheriff Chris Nocco of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in Florida said, “While he’s driving at his victim, he could see the look of fright on the victim’s face. This man is absolutely evil.” The Tampa Bay Times reported the 75-year-old scrambled to get out of the way of the approaching vehicle, he was hit and died at the scene of the incident.

Nocco: ‘While he’s driving at his victim, he could see the look of fright on the victim’s face. This man is absolutely evil’

‘There are some cases that we hear of that absolutely, even for us in law enforcement, make us just realize and remind us that there is pure evil in the world’

Authorities learned after further investigation that Pennell had thoughts of killing someone for months, and had already planned how he would do it and had left his home with the express intent of finding someone to kill with his vehicle.

The victim was found lying on the side of road when Deputies and Pasco Fire Rescue crews arrived on the scene.

Even though there is a “very strong” case against Pennell, officials are asking anyone and everyone if they have any evidence against this young man, please come forward.

Pennell is being charged with 1st-degree murder and being held without bond.
