Opinion: The House Had One Job To Do, Bring Overwhelming Evidence To Senate Trial! — Where Is It?

What did we learn on Impeachment Trial Day one?

Rep. Nancy Pelosi and all of her court jesters did not do their job and the American people, those who watched, saw their incompetence. It is up to the House of Representatives to gather all the evidence, and if you listened to their impeachment managers, they lacked the material.

If the House of representatives issued subpoena’s and they were ignored, then they take them to court and get a court order to make them testify for the evidence. That is the job of the House of representatives. The House of Representatives did not do their job.

It is not the job of the Senate to investigate during the trial. The Senate’s job is to here the evidence that is presented to them by the House. If the evidence is overwhelming, then you do not need witnesses, and you do not need more evidence.

The Dems have promised the American public that they would impeach Trump since he won the election. That is the foundation for them accepting 2nd, and 3rd hand testimony from a died in the wool Democrat, and then label him as a “whistleblower” so he cannot be revealed. He is protected from the person who he is testifying against (Trump). How does this fit into the foundation for the impeachment of our President?

As promised, if this will not work, the Dems will continue to find other things against Trump and bring him down. Yes, of course, that is the American way. Have one political party who has the majority and the media in their pocket, to bring dirt daily to sully our President and have the Dems take over control over the direction of our nation.

It is incredible how many people don’t realize we have three branches of government. When the executive quarrels with the legislative, it goes to the judicial. Democrats don’t care about the Constitution.

Would Democrats be okay with Republicans conducting testimony the same way Adam Schiff did it in the basement skiff? Closed to the public. Members of Congress are forbidden to talk about it in public. Minority party only allowed to have witnessed and ask questions approved by Mitch? I doubt it.

They could have pursued the subpoenas in the House by taking it to court to try and break executive privilege. Still, they chose not to, saying ‘it would take too long’ — well that’s just tough, it takes that much to challenge executive privilege for a good reason because is it didn’t take that much then there would effectively be no executive privilege. The barrier exists because forcing open executive privilege is a huge deal.

The Democrats only want to drag it out as long as possible in the Senate as opposed to the House for two reasons.

They want Republicans to be the ones to do what they just did so they can run propaganda ads targeting those senators to paralyze Congress as long as possible in hopes they can win back power. It’s all political folks, purely political.

We must send the Democrats packing!

McConnell is at least giving the Democrats a chance to make opening arguments, while the Democrats gave the Republicans almost nothing during the inquiry.

Let me save everyone some time so you can enjoy the outdoors. This is a political smear campaign. The Senate will use the same rules as the Clinton impeachment and will shoot down any amendments to it. They will call some witnesses, and if the Democrats get too out of hand, a motion will be brought to take a vote for or against impeachment early. There is no chance they will vote to impeach.

Then can we have a functional Legislative Branch again?
