Let’s go back in time to when Barack Obama asserted executive privilege to withhold certain DOJ documents related to Operation Fast and Furious.

This was done ahead of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform voted to hold then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for refusing to produce the documents.

Later the same day, the Republican-led House Committee voted 23–17 along party lines to hold AG Holder in contempt of Congress for not releasing the documents.

Why didn’t they impeach Obama? So much hypocrisy.

What happens if the court rules that Pres Trump was within his rights when exercising executive privilege? Are the Dems going to impeach the court? That’s all the “obstruction of Congress” charge is about.

He did the same thing other presidents have done and been taken to court for but the Dems have said “we don’t have time to wait for the courts,” So much for due process.

During the House Impeachment Hearings, I clearly remember the Dem’s saying; “It’s a slam dunk! It’s a clear shut case. We have proof!” hence, the rush before Christmas, yet the slow, somber walk over to the Senate with the articles of impeachment, (remember that drama?), and Nancy smiling, handing out souvenir pens. Now they need documents and witnesses to keep this sham moving forward?

It’s too long to list, but since Pres. Trump was sworn in, the Democrats (and media alike) have been calling for his impeachment. What was “right” about that? The drumbeat continued and continued and now we have this vague “abuse of power and obstruction of justice” claim. We’ve seen abuses of power, REAL ones, that caused American deaths, that used the IRS, FBI, CIA and other agencies to go after US citizens. Was that “right” too?

It seems the seven impeachment managers have conveniently forgotten many of the facts surrounding their deeply flawed case for impeachment. They began by crying out for witnesses, witnesses they could have called in the House, and asking the Senate to do their job for them. As they made their opening arguments, they left out key information and used cherry-picked quotes and video clips.

When we look at the facts the Democrats seem to be forgotten, it could not be more clear that this sham of impeachment is nothing more than a political hit job against Pres. Trump.

The biggest problem I have with the Senate hearings to this point is that the Democrats kept presenting the opinions of people like the military serviceman Vindman, who obviously didn’t like either Pres. Trump or his policies, as hard facts and hence proof of this etherial “abuse of power.”

The closest thing we have to actual evidence is Ferris Bueller’s cousin’s girlfriend’s friend hearing from a guy that Trump ordered something done with the cash and another guy with Kryptonian hearing listening to both sides of a call with Trump over a cell phone from 20 feet away.

The Democrats have an enormous credibility problem, not because Trump isn’t guilty of what they charge but because they’ve been trying to take him down since it was announced he had won. The boy who cried wolf is applicable.
