Harry & Meghan, welcome to the world of plain ole Harry & Meghan.

Her Majesty is a class act. Such grace and dignity always, no matter what is thrown her way. You can’t help but admire her.

The queen showed benevolence to Harry; he is, after all, her grandson. Prince Harry lost the title when he married. Duke and Duchess were the given title, but the queen can take their titles away at any time. The queen will find Harry a job in Canada. The queen also owns the castle. The only losers are Harry and their son. Because Megan is only the wife. I hope the queen has more years to rein.

This is not the first time a royal has left the family for a divorcee. Queen Elizabeth’s uncle, King Edward, who, after being crowned king, fell in love with a divorcee and chose to marry her, which was against the rules of the royalty. After his abdication, he became the Duke of Windsor, and Queen Elizabeth’s father became King George VI. Edward never regained his stature and was “banished” to the Bahamas after rumors circulated that he had met with Adolf Hitler and worked out a plan to defeat his brother and regain the crown, thus making his wife, Queen.

The Royal Family has been through many problems, and this won’t be the last.

Queen Elizabeth has released a statement confirming she has given her blessing to grandson Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepping down as senior royals. But in a surprising move from official royal correspondence, the Sussexes are referred to as ‘Harry and Meghan’ in the literature, and not ‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ as they usually would.

[…]

“Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.”

It continues: “Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives. It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”

The consistent use of “Harry and Meghan” as opposed to “TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex” is unprecedented. The couple are at one point referred to as ‘the Sussexes’, but again this is not something we’ve ever heard before from Buckingham Palace. [Cosmopolitan]

The Queen also used the term “My family” and “his family” throughout the statement. THAT says everything. “My family” should include “his family” in normal family relationships. Apparently, she is not at all happy with this and intends to let them know.

The Queen didn’t have much choice, with Meghan having signed a book deal. Imagine how she could have hurt the family with the book if she didn’t get her way. The Queen should never agree to the marriage, but the fear of racism is the reason. The real truth, their engagement was too short, and she got caught up in the fantasy and not the reality.

Meghan knew exactly what she was marrying into with the royal family. There are responsibilities involved in being a member of the royal family. If she did not feel comfortable in the family, she should never have married into it. Now she expects the entire family to adjust and change their lives for her. It’s not right for her to disrupt the whole family.

It says a lot about Meghan’s’ character and love for her husband to run away and leave him to deal with the fallout of “their” decision on his own. She could have stayed long enough to face the family with him. To support him. She doesn’t give a hoot about Harry. She will use him and throw him away like everyone else in her life. Very, very sad.

I feel sorry for little Archie! He’s a baby! He will have no choice in any of this. Maybe he would have wanted to grow up as a prince, living in a castle. He’ll never get the chance now. He probably won’t get to grow up with his cousins and have a close relationship with them now, either.

Long live Queen Elizabeth.
