When something sounds too good to be true it usually is.
That might be the case with former Democrat Jeff Van Drew, who switched from Democrat to Republican over his disgust at the House impeaching President Trump.
Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew left a voicemail for a constituent saying he does not plan to vote for President Trump. The comment was made while the New Jersey representative was still a member of the Democratic Party.
Van Drew, 66, left a voicemail for Gwen Meade of Margate, New Jersey, on Nov. 30, where he argued the impeachment trial is futile and added that he was not planning on voting for the president in the general election, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Friday.
“I haven’t voted for him, I didn’t support him, I will not vote for him,” he stated before noting that “the Senate is not gonna find him guilty, they’ve already said they’re gonna find him innocent.”
The first-term congressman switched political parties last month after a long-standing disagreement with party leaders over their conduct regarding the president’s impeachment.
“I’ve pledged my support for the President in the Oval Office, on the floor of the House when I voted against impeachment, in South Jersey diners and everywhere in between,” Van Drew told the Philadelphia Inquirer in response to a question about the voicemail. “My support for President Trump couldn’t be more clear — and he’ll hear it again from me in person on Tuesday night in Wildwood.”
In a meeting with the president in the Oval Office last month, Van Drew said that Trump has his “undying support” and added that, “I believe that this is just a better fit for me.” [Washington Examiner]

The last thing we need is yet another RINO who pretends to Trump’s face that he supports him and works against him behind the scenes.
We already have enough Republican traitors in Congress without having to import more from across the aisle.
We need MAGA candidates who believe in Trump’s America First agenda – no more of these frauds. We’ll never get anything done with these scumbags.
