On Friday morning, Pres. Trump called the Democrats bluff claiming that he wanted the Senate to hold an impeachment trial if the House moves forward with their impeachment.
I understand the President’s thought pattern even though I might be hesitant to agree. Democrats want to impeach Pres. Trump for “influencing” the Ukrainians to investigate former VP Joe Biden after Biden was caught on video exercising quid pro quo as Vice President, as he admitted to having someone fired that was trying to investigate the corruption of his son.
Pres. Trump also added that he wants the “fake whistleblower,” to appear claiming that he and “everybody” his person filed a “false report” about his July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“I want the whistleblower, who put in a false report, to testify, adding that he believes the individual “is a political operative,” Trump added.
Kilmeade: “You want a trial?”
Trump: “Oh, I would! Look, number one, they should never, ever impeach. I watched, I watched five people on your network yesterday say there’s nothing here. Andy McCarthy, how about Ken, special prosecutor,”
Kilmeade: “Ken Starr.”
Trump: “Special counsel. Ken Starr, he was fantastic, he said there’s nothing here. So ready? Number one, there should never be an impeachment. This is not an impeachment,”

Once again Trump is outsmarting the Democrats. A protracted impeachment will help him politically in this election year. By begging for it, he may stop the Democrats from doing it. They seem intent on mass political suicide, so we shall see.
I see him as a political outsider trying to clean up corrupt politicians. He may be blunt but I would rather have a president that accomplishes something like a great economy/unemployment, then a president that can read someone else’s words off a monitor beautifully.
Trump has been under investigation, every aspect of his life, for the past three-plus years and yet, they found nothing. If any other politician in DC had the same scrutiny, every one of them would be in prison right now. Therefore, Trump is the most honest politician that ever took office. How blessed are we?
