Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana is one of the most colorful Republicans in Congress. He says what he means and he means what he says.

Kennedy is a defender of Pres. Trump and isn’t afraid to tell the nation how Democrats and their impeachment inquiry hearings are being unfair to the Commander-in-chief by limiting the witnesses they may call and by selectively leaking portions of the testimony they’ve heard privately, before releasing transcripts pertaining to Trump’s Ukraine dealings.

Kennedy’s description of what Democrats were doing to Pres. Trump not only nailed it and showed he was over the target when explaining it, but he also has his finger on the pulse of their intentions.

Kennedy: If you try to assess how a trial is going for a defendant, you don’t just listen to the lawyers’ opening statements and you don’t just read the transcript

Number one, the president asked for an investigation of a political rival. Number two, the president asked for an investigation of possible corruption by someone who happens to be a political rival.

The latter would be in the national interest. The former would be in the president’s parochial interests and would be over the line.

I think this case is going to come down to the president’s intent, his motive. Did he have a culpable state of mind? For me, Margaret, there are only two relevant questions that need to be answered. Why did the president ask for an investigation? And, number two — and this is inextricably linked to the first question — what did Mr. Hunter Biden do for the money?

The nation is permanently bifurcated because Democrats believe they are above the law, and they have every reason to do so. They have broken laws since 2008 with complete impunity.

As a result, they and their mainstream media, along with some support with traitors like Mitt Romney, say and do whatever is necessary for the attempt to overturn the 2016 election. And make no mistake – even if some of these criminals are indicted and convicted, nothing will change in the mainstream media or the Democratic Party.

They will simply claim the President has once again abused his powers. There will never be a peaceful end to the refusal of Barack Obama to peacefully transfer Presidential power to the duly elected President Trump.

Dems attempting to tear this country apart for political gain, nothing more! Why won’t they just do this in compliance with historical precedent? Why only one side is the story? Why not allowing for full participation by the other party? Why abandon due process rights of the President?

Why do Dems have to tilt the playing field in such a Radical, unprecedented way if they actually have a good case or any case at all? Dems are shredding the Constitution, and the rule of law, not to mention historical precedent, for a very good reason.

The is actually NO case for impeachment, but they are ensuring Trump’s easy reelection, so there is that! Cheers.
