On Friday, a reporter asked Pres. Trump, to respond to Leon Cooperman, a billionaire investor, who commented that Trump should either change his behavior or leave office at the end of his first term.

Trump responded by citing how the media has used fake news and fake investigations against him during his presidency, “Now, you really shaped my behavior.”

Reporter: “Leon Cooperman said this week that, if you can’t change your behavior, you probably shouldn’t run again in 2020. What do you say to that?”

Pres. Trump: “Now, you really shaped my behavior because, from the day I came in here, I’ve had problems with phony stuff – like a phony dossier that turned out to be false, like false investigations that I’ve beaten. So, a lot of my behavior was shaped by the fake news and by the other side. That was a lot of my behavior.”

“The fact is that we created the greatest economy in the history of our country. With all of that stuff going on behind me; nobody else could have done it. Rush Limbaugh said he doesn’t know a man in the world that could have done what Trump did. I don’t know Leon Cooperman, but whoever Leon Cooperman is – I know of him – he can have his own view. But, in the meantime, I’m making him rich and I’m making a lot of other people rich, including the working man and woman. They have never done so well as they’ve done right now. Our jobs are the best they’ve ever been. Everything about our economy is just about the best it’s ever been. Including unemployment.

“So, I think in light of all of the things going on, and you know what I mean by that: the fake news, the Comeys of the world. All of the bad things that went on. It’s called the swamp. And, you know what happened and you know what I did? A big favor. I caught the swamp. I caught them all. Let’s see what happens. Nobody else could have done that but me. I caught all of this corruption that was going on and nobody else could have done it.

The liberal press can’t deny that “fake news” is their stock-in-trade when it comes to their dealing with Conservatives in general and Trump in particular. How many reporters from liberal media outlets have lost their jobs because of the blatant lies that they have reported as fact? (How many conservative reporters have lost their jobs for the same reason?)

How many times have liberal media outlets have stood by and allowed their commentators to make blatantly false statements about Pres. Trump, statements which are so obviously untrue that a deaf, dumb, and blind person could see through it? The liberal media want to be treated with respect by Trump, but they don’t want to reciprocate respect for him. The level of quality in progressive media reporting has degenerated significantly when it comes to reporting on conservatives since Trump became a candidate for president and president as well.

They scream bloody murder when Trump dumps on them for “fake news stories. They act as if they are being persecuted for doing their jobs. But, lo and behold, “fake news” is found to be true.

Try as they might, the liberal media cannot control Pres. Trump. That frustrates them considerably. His tweets drive them crazy. Trump will not put up with their crap. He calls them out on it and proves them guilty. Then the liberal media get defensive and start feeling sorry for themselves.

The media in America has historically always tended to be progressive. So be it. The press can be progressive in their thinking while also being respectful to the conservative point of view. It is one thing for the progressive media to disagree agreeably with conservatives and quite another for it to attempt to destroy conservatives; in this case, Trump, his family, and staff.

As long as they continue to persist in their attempts to destroy Trump, they will continue to reap the animus of Pres. Trump. They will reap what they sow. They will have no one but themselves to blame if they are honest with themselves.
