Former First Lady Michelle Obama took to Instagram on Thursday to post a video of her teaming up with daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to sing a duet about her new book, “Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice.”

The Hill reported that the book is essentially a “guided journal” for readers that is meant to be a companion piece to Michelle’s bestselling 2018 memoir “Becoming.” Publisher Penguin Random House said in a press release that the book is full of inspiring questions and quotes that are “designed to help readers reflect on their personal and family history, their goals, challenges, and dreams, what moves them and brings them hope, and what future they imagine for themselves and their community.”

In the video, DeGeneres can be seen playing the piano while she and Michelle sing a song to promote the new book. The “lyrics” to the song can be found in the caption of Michelle’s Instagram post:

Ellen: “Michelle Obama has a new book…

Michelle Obama: It’s actually a Journal!

Ellen: What’s it called?

Michelle Obama: It’s the Becoming Journal. [Ellen: The Becoming Journal…] The purpose of the Journal is to write down your own story of Becoming….to chronicle your memories, your thoughts, your ideas, your impressions…because every story matters. Even yours, Ellen.

Ellen: Even mine…

Michelle Obama: What is your story?

Ellen: What is my story?

Together: What is my story?

Michelle Obama: Who are you Becoming?

This comes days after hundreds of people came out to meet Michelle in the Washington, D.C., bookstore Politics and Prose at an event that was meant to honor the anniversary of her memoir’s release. Some started camping out outside the bookstore at 1pm, five hours before the event, just to ensure that they could meet Michelle.

This has been a particularly good week for Michelle, as she was also nominated for a Grammy Award in the Spoken Word category for the audio version of her book.

“So thrilled to receive a Grammy nomination!” Michelle tweeted. “This past year has been such a meaningful, exhilarating ride. I’ve loved hearing your stories and continuing down the road of becoming together. Thank you for every ounce of love and support you’ve shared so generously.”
