Another Republican Is Leaving The House In 2020!

By Wayne Dupree | November 11, 2019

Rep. Peter King is leaving the House of Representatives, and I think that brings the number to 23 total leaving in 2020.

A lot of supporters for Ted Cruz and Mike Lee will love this news because King destroyed them for not supporting funds for New York/New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy. He was so angry and he didn’t hold back his feelings about Cruz one bit. Even when Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, King tweeted this:

Rep. Peter T. King, a 14-term Republican from New York’s Long Island, announced Monday on Facebook he will not run for reelection.

“The prime reason for my decision was that after 28 years of spending 4 days a week in Washington, D.C., it is time to end the weekly commute and be home in Seaford,” King said in a post on Facebook.

A former chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, King cited his work to secure health benefits for victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Superstorm Sandy. He also said he was proud of “being consistently cited for bipartisanship.”

King was reelected in 2018 with 53 percent of the vote, and President Donald Trump carried the 2nd District by 9 percentage points in 2016. But with suburbs around the country trending away from the GOP, King was on the “retirement watch list” unveiled in February by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Inside Elections with Nathan L. Gonzales has rated the race for New York’s 2nd District Likely Republican. [Roll Call [2]]

Many establishment RINOs are retiring under Pres. Trump which means he’s definitely shaking up the system and I love it!

I realize that King is a friend of Trump, so Trump isn’t necessarily directly responsible, but these establishment types aren’t happy with the divide that’s occurring between the D’s and the R’s. In other words, they’re no longer pals working together under different labels to cheat the American people.

I don’t have any animosity towards King but I do with the Republican Party. I just can’t get over the number of leaders leaving when we have a chance to rewrite the fundamental transformation Barack Obama forced on this country. What kind of spines do these people have?

This is nuts.
